Understanding the Internet

Understanding the Internet
Internet can be interpreted as a network of interconnected computers from each other. But Understanding Internet experts say the Internet is a network that connects the computer with other computers using TCP / IP.

The Internet offers enormous benefits for millions of people who use it, the Internet itself has been providing telecommunications services access and share information to all the inhabitants of the world. Some internet service access is

    * Direct communication such as e-mail and chat
    * The discussion forum (e-mail, mailing lists, usenet news, social media)
    * Provides sharing of published information (gopher, world wide web, blog)
    * Traffic data and remote login (FTP, telnet)
    * And many other facilities.

Computer networks connected to the Internet must first have the TCP / IP (Transmission Control Protocol / Internet Protocol), it functions as a regulator and observer data traffic on the network, handling problems (error handling), communication messages, and other traffic. Protocol TCP / IP can work on another computer network without being affected by hardware even though the software is used by the computer user.

Understanding the Internet

If we want to use the internet user we must first connect to a particular Internet Service Provider or Internet Service Provider (ISP). Providers that provide public Internet service is a telephone line using point to point protocol (PPP), using a modem (modultor and demodulation) is working to make calls (dial-up) to the internet service provider's server. When a computer user has connected to the server Internet Service Provider (ISP), then the computer is connected to the internet. But that all is not free, we must pay to use this facility to be connected to the internet, this cost depends on the quota or the duration which is used by a user that is charged to your phone bill.

In addition internet service providers that are commonly used one of them by using a dedicated line. This facility also requires a fee, the difference between fixed user charge each month based on the speed and quality of services provided regardless of time or usage quoata. Dediacated line that currently exists in Indonesia are using a ADSL (Asymetric Digital Subscriber Line), ISDN (Integrated Systems Digital Network), or use a V-Sat service (Very Small Aperture Terminal). The connection of this type typically used by businesses, government offices or are used together, because the cost is not as cheap as any other Internet service providers.

Well, that's a brief explanation of understanding the Internet, is if we see the definition of the word Internet is only a little, but actually on the internet there are tens of millions and even even more knowledge and information we can get it if connected to the internet. Hopefully this article Understanding the Internet particularly useful for students who still lay with the internet / cyberspace. Thank you.
